IUM Annual Vice-Chancellor Cup


IUM SRC recently hosted a two day Vice-Chancellor Sport Cup event that was described by students as a wonderful and refreshing day to give a high note to the academic year. The Vice-Chancellor Cup took place from Thursday, 31 March 2022 – Friday, 1 April 2022.

The event saw different sports clubs of Soccer, Netball and Volleyball teams from all IUM campuses converging in the Capital to compete among each other.

Ongwediva Centre of Excellence for Education scooped the first place in volleyball and second place in Netball, taking home N$3,000.00.

The Costal Campus scooped first place in Soccer which was the most awaited for activity for the event. They walked away with N$3,500.00.

Dorado Main Campus came first in Netball, second in Soccer and third in Volleyball, walking away with the most amount of money as they took home N$5,300.00.

Nkurenkuru Campus Volleyball team scooped second position and third position in Netball and Soccer, taking home N$3,800.00.

The two days event wasn’t just an event for competition and money but most importantly a “come-together” for students from all IUM campuses to bond as an IUM family.
