IUM expands to Eenhana
IUM held a Ground Breaking Ceremony of its new Campus in Eenhana on Tuesday, 9 August 2022. The construction of the first phase of the 25 Million hi-tech Campus will start immediately following the ground breaking ceremony.
The construction of New Campuses as well as the expansion of existing IUM facilities across the country are performed under the University theme of the year of “Consolidated Performance”.
Officiating at the ceremony, Hon. Prof. David Namwandi IUM’s Founder and Council Chair said that the campus will be a fully-fledged Centre of Learning which once fully operational will offer programmes offered through IUM campuses such as Environmental Studies programmes; IT and Computer Science programmes; Management Science programmes; Strategic Leadership; Tourism and Hotel Management.
The main objective of the Eenhana campus is to make university education accessible to all thereby enhancing regional development as it were.
Hon. Prof. Namwandi added that the IUM Eenhana Campus shall offer distance and open learning programs through its CDeL Centre. This will cater for persons who, for one reason of other, could not access full-time university programmes.
The IUM event was graced by dignitaries such as the Governor of Ohangwena Region Honourable Walde Ndevashiya, Eenhana Mayor His Worship Omri-Onn Kavandje and other guests from near and far.
