Who is this qualification for?

The qualification is targeted individuals interested to pursuit a career in the diplomatic sector who would like to further their knowledge in this field.  It is also aimed at those who have dealings with international and multilateral organisations, engaged in political conflict management or have international engagements with private and public entities for which it is important to understand the operations of international law and resolution of international trade and investment disputes.

The Master of International Relations, Diplomacy and Management is designed to prepare graduates with specialized knowledge and skills in intercultural interactions and communications necessary for cultivating and maintaining relations among nations; develop diplomatic skills in mediation and negotiation, trade relations, and leadership in international organizations, strategy formulation, intelligence analysis and foreign policy formulation and implementation as a means of ensuring an atmosphere of peace and security, quality well-being and democracy in Namibia and the world. This qualification fulfils Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 16- to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels.

Admission /Entry requirements

• To be registered for the Masters programs in International Relations, Diplomacy and Management (NQF Level 9) candidate must have a level 8 qualification in any field of study.
• Relevant working experience maybe required.
