Qualification Description:

Doctor of Philosophy in Information Communication Technology was developed to help transform Namibia and other African nations from being consumers of knowledge in the global arena into comparable, competitive and innovative creators of knowledge through engagement at the highest levels in research and analysis to generate new knowledge and solutions to local, regional and international contexts. This qualification prepares candidates for academic careers in Information Communication Technology, and requires candidates to undertake research at the most advanced levels culminating into the submission, assessment and acceptance of a thesis/dissertation. The defining characteristic of this qualification is that candidates will be required to demonstrate high level research quality and make significant and original academic contribution at the frontier of Information Communication Technology. This doctoral program is envisioned for candidates who yearn to make significant scientific research contributions to the field of Information Communication Technology.
