All MMED Programmes
For all Master of Medicine (MMED) programmes, the duration is 4 years, divided into:
  • Year 1: Part 1.
  • Years 2-4: Part 2.
Requirements:
  • MBChB degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).
  • Council Registration: Registration with the relevant Health Professions Council (either in Namibia or Zimbabwe).
Master of Medicine

Specialisations:

1. Obstetrics and Gynaecology
2. Paediatrics and Child Health
3. General Surgery
4. Internal Medicine
5. Psychiatry and Mental Health
6. Anaesthesia

Programme Locations

  • Part I(Year 1): Harare, Zimbabwe
  • Part II (Year 2-4): State Hospitals in Namibia

General Requirements:

    • MBChB degree
    • Registration with the Health Professions Councils of Namibia or Zimbabwe
    • Namibian Citizen/Nationality
    • Completion of Internship
    • At least 1 year of working experience in the relevant discipline

 

 

Diploma

1. Anaesthesia
2. Psychiatry
(Diploma is awarded after successful completion of PART I of the MMED programme)

Fees

Kindly find below the detailed cost structure for the MMED fees.

  • Tuition: USD: 1,000 / NAD: 18,000
  • Registration: USD: 500 / NAD: 9,000
  • Examination: USD: 100 / NAD: 1,800
  • Maintenance: USD: 60 / NAD: 1,080
  • Laboratory Fees: USD: 100 / NAD: 1,800
  • Technology: USD: 100 / NAD: 1,800
  • Sports Levy: USD: 20 / NAD: 360

Total Fees Per Semester:

  • USD: 1,880 / NAD: 33,840
