  1. Qualification Description

The Bachelor in Nursing Honours (NQF level 8) aims to provide students with the competency to analyse, integrate, and apply scientific, theoretical, and clinical knowledge in their daily practice. The qualification is designed to train professional nurses who are able to adapt to the changing roles of the nursing profession in tandem with extending boundaries of nursing practice. It is envisaged that the qualification will equip students with high quality career-oriented nursing education that meets the lifelong learning needs of the student

  1. Admission requirements

Students will be admitted to this qualification if they hold a Namibian Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary and Advance Subsidiary level (NSSCO/AS) with a minimum of 25 points and passed five subjects with a minimum of D in English, including Mathematics, Biology and Physical science. Students may also enter through mature age entry /prior learning with three to four years relevant work experience (enrolled nurse/midwife) in a clinic or hospital with 18 points. The mature age-entry student must sit for an entrance examination.

Professional nurses as a career in the public and private sectors in Namibia. May advanced to a Master degree in Nursing science in different fields of specialisation.
