(DRSF) Talent Group and SiFang Technical College from China, two affiliated
Chinese educational institutions with a strong presence in Africa, have signed
a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The International University of
Management (IUM) on 23 September 2025, aimed at strengthening collaboration in
education and vocational training.
The partnership
focuses on expanding training programs of a non-academic nature in China for
Namibian students and working professionals seeking to study or train in China.
The collaboration will include the joint development of programs emphasizing
the “Chinese Language and Vocational Skills” education model, with particular
attention to automotive repair, welding and construction machinery operation
and maintenance.
Mr. Zhang Bin,
Group Chairman of DenRenSifang and President of SiFang Technical College,
praised IUM for its contribution towards youth employment and national
development. “Through this MOU, we will develop a specific plan for cooperation
in maritime crew training and repair training,” said Mr. Zhang Bin.

Talent Group and SiFang Technical College have established vocational
institutions in Guinea and Zambia, demonstrating their commitment to expanding
technical education across Africa.
In his remarks, Hon.
Prof. David Namwandi, Founder and Council Chair of IUM, expressed enthusiasm
for the partnership. “IUM is prepared to sign this MOU to facilitate vocational
skills impairment in the areas of automobile and maritime services”, said Hon. Prof.
Namwandi. He added that IUM welcomes the MOU’s joint development programs to
advance vocational training.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing technical and vocational education, empowering the Namibian youth and fostering sustainable development.
