Honours in Finance Management

Who is this qualification for?

The primary purpose of the Bachelor of Finance Management Honours level 8 is to train a cadre of men and women capable of making positive change and positive impact in the private and pulic financial sectors. It is designed to impart knowledge and skills on economic, social and entrepreneurial methods to create financial plans or give investment advice.  Students learn financial analysis, financial reporting, and investment strategy, and also take classes in statistics, economics, and business to strengthen their analytical and critical thinking skills.  It is desired that upon successful completion of studies graduates are prepared to work in both the public and private sector to streamline operations through financial planning, investing, problem-solving and budgeting. A research component is included in this qualification to capacitate graduates to discover new trends and developments as well as to contribute to the accounting and financial profession.

Admission /Entry Requirements:

• To be registered for this qualification, candidates must at least have a bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting at NQF Level 7 or equivalent.

Minimum: 1 Year – Maximum: 2 Years
