IUM Swakopmund Reseach, Training and Conference Centre

The ground breaking ceremony for the IUM Research, Training and Conference Centre, Held on Monday, 30 May 2022, in the coastal town of Swakopmund. Officiating at the ceremony Hon. Prof. Namwandi said “In establishing the Centre at our coastal area, we firmly believe that this area has an advantage of becoming our engine of growth, especially when the private sector, public, Industry and academia are brought to work and research together towards the creation of new knowledge and joint programmes”.

The Centre, Hon. Prof. Namwandi said, will have three main functions: Research, Training and Conference facilities. Research will be focusing on empirical/applied research, while Training in research and problem solving will be an important aspect of the training given at the Centre.
