The Founder of the David Namwandi Trust (DNT) Professor David Richard Namwandi, has established companies with the purpose of providing shares, seed capital and management guidance to successful applicants, who must be exclusively IUM students or registered IUM Alumni graduates aspiring to become business entrepreneurs.
The purpose of this intervention is to alleviate unemployment as well as identify and nurture a team of three to fi ve entrepreneurs with shared business goals, vision and aspirations. These should be articulated in a commercially, financially, and environmentally viable Business Plan, complimented by a well formulated growth strategy. Certainly this will significantly grow and sustain their businesses in the following priority areas:
(i) Community Health and Environmental Projects (ii) Education and Information Technology Projects (iii) Water and Energy Security Projects (iv) Agriculture and Food Processing Projects (v) Consultancy, Trade and Manufacturing (vi) Any other sound business venture initiated by the aspiring entrepreneurs.
NB!! Bankable project proposals aiming at uplifting the rural poor shall receive first preference.
