Students will be admitted into this qualification if they hold Namibia Secondary School Certificate (NSSC) with a minimum of 18 points in five (5) best subjects with a minimum of D in English or equivalent. Students not meeting the English requirement will be required to do the English Language course. – Students may also enter through mature age with grade 10 and are required to write a mature age entry exam.
Qualification Duration
These qualifications will be offered for over 1 Year. Semester one (1) runs from January to June and semester two (2) runs from July to November. Formal and Practical exams are written in October /November of every academic year.

Any registered undergraduate IUM student who has scored an ‘E’ symbol in English at NSSC Ordinary/Advanced Subsidiary or equivalent; that is excluding students who are intending to or are registered for Education, Electronics or Health Science courses.’
Qualification Duration
English Upgrade course will be offered for two months.
