A team of researchers from The International University of Management (IUM) is currently in Finland as part of an ongoing research project “TeProD: Capacity Building in Higher Education Strand 2” in collaboration with African and European universities.
The collaboration aims to enhance the professional development of educators and their ability to integrate digital, green, and sustainable practices into higher education. Partner institutions include the University of Ghana, the University of Education Winneba (Ghana), Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and the Technical University of Košice (Slovakia).
The focus of the project is on preparing universities for digital and green transitions by adopting a twin transition approach. This involves developing curricula that help integrate digital technologies and sustainability practices into teaching, assessment, and overall higher education structures. The initiative will ultimately promote the readiness of universities to adopt these changes, ensuring educators are well-equipped to support the evolving demands of academia and society.
The IUM team comprises of Dr. Hileni Amuthenu, Dr. Elock Shikalepo, Dr. Alpha Ndeunyema, Dr. Sioni Iikela, Mr. Timoteus Sheepo, Mr. Tomas Shivolo.
